Next post in what I can see becoming a regular feature to this page, which I shall simply call “View from the Front Door”. This is not technically true, of course. It is in fact the view from the bottom of the drive!
Today we had the calmest, frostiest morning since we got here, with a thick fog enveloping the hillside after dawn. The sun is getting stronger now, however, and it didn’t take long for the fog to thin to mist and lift to form a smoky cloud drifting below the face of Ben More Assynt (“our mountain”), the eternal presence looming across Loch Shin.
