A second image from up in the Lowther Hills. This was taken in the same spot as yesterday’s, just facing the other way! Sometimes when taking a shot of low, modelling light illuminating a landscape, it’s well worth turning round and shooting into the light. You need to think more about the exposure if you feature the brightest part of the sky, but the metering systems on modern DSLRs like the EOS R5 make things easier, as do the exposure latitude of the latest sensors and RAW files.
